1. General
By participating in or booking any Borealis Adventures programs or any related products or services you agree to have read and understood the terms and conditions set out below.
The prices and services offered by Borealis Adventures are described in the specific program descriptions for each service separately.
Borealis Adventures can change these terms and conditions at any time without further notice.
2. Prices
Borealis Adventures is not responsible for covering additional costs such as bank transfer fees or other fees outside its control.
All prices listed include Value Added Tax (VAT).
Borealis Adventures reserves the right to change the published prices on the website without prior notice due to factors such as currency fluctuations, government taxes, or other cost increases.
Coupons can only be applied at the time of purchase and are not valid for use after the purchase is completed.
3. Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation policies vary for each tour or service. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy outlined for the particular service at the time of booking.
A refund is only applicable if a valid proof of booking or payment is provided.
Borealis Adventures reserves the right to cancel a tour if the minimum number of participants specified is not met. Minimum participants for the winter season are 4 pax. and for the summer season 2.
Tours may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or other external factors beyond Borealis Adventures control. If the tour is canceled by Borealis Adventures, the tour will be 100% refunded.
3.1 Cancellation policy regarding different tours:
Northern Light Hunts

100% Refund if canceled at least 2 days before the event.

If the hunt is unsuccessful, you are entitled to a refund of 75% or to a second hunt, if this is possible due to the weather and availability.
(*Visible Aurora with the camera counts as a successful hunt*)
Single-Day Tours

If tour is canceled 1 day or less before the tour, the refund is 0%

If tour is canceled 2 days before the tour, the refund is 50%

If tour is canceled 3 day or more before the tour, the refund is 100%
4. Pictures and Videos
Participants acknowledge and agree that Borealis Adventures reserves the right to use any photo/video taken during the tour for promotional purposes.
5. Languages
The default language for communication and instruction during tours is English.
Borealis Adventures will make reasonable efforts to provide guides in other languages upon request, but it is not guaranteed. In cases where language-specific guides are not available, participants acknowledge that Borealis Adventures is not obliged to provide translation services.
6. Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Participants are required to provide accurate pick-up location information at the time of booking.
Late participants will not be eligible for a refund.
The maximum included pick-up/drop-off distance is 15km. Any additional distance may incur additional fees, which will be agreed upon before the start of the tour. If your accommodation is outside of this 15km, feel free to contact us.
Borealis Adventures may change the starting time of the tour, if it is deemed necessary due to weather conditions or e.g. solar activity, however this has to be agreed on by the customer. If agreement is not met, the tour will follow the original starting time.
7. Liability
Borealis Adventures maintains liability insurance to cover bodily injury and property damage according to the terms and conditions of the insurance provider.
8. Insurances
Participants are encouraged to have their personal travel insurance when joining Borealis Adventures programs or just when traveling to Lapland.
9. Conditions for the participants
Participants are responsible for following the provided timetable.
Cancellation requests for early closure of the activity may be subject to charges per hour.
Borealis Adventures reserves the right to cancel a participant's involvement, if they are deemed dangerous to themselves or others, under the influence, or not following the guide's instructions.
Participants are responsible for the care of equipment, the provided vehicle, and their own well-being. In the event of damage to the equipment or vehicle, or if the vehicle is left excessively messy or dirty, participants will be liable for the cost of repairs or cleaning.
Borealis Adventures reserves the right to choose the third party responsible for conducting the repairs or cleaning.
10. Company responsibilities
Borealis Adventures is not liable for damages, losses, or claims arising from inconveniences, loss of enjoyment, disappointment, distress, or frustration, whether physical or mental.
Borealis Adventures is not liable or assumed responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs, or other expenses arising out of factors beyond its control.
